An Introduction
Oh, so you're breaking kayfabe? I guess I can, too. Nothing wrong with breaking character once in a while, right? Here's some questions answered for ya. ::0)
Who?
Well, I'm glad you ask! My name's Tommy. I'm 18, almost 19, and I am... Well, nonbinary. Or genderfluid. I'm not really sure myself, but all I know is that I'm definitely something! You can call me either Websley or Tommy, I don't particularly mind. Just don't call me by my older online handles, I don't go by those anymore. I'm sure you wont find it hard to figure out what I used to go by, though.
Though, I guess it is pertinent to talk about my past on the internet. I used to wander around a specific sect of a certain online MMO that was dedicated to older versions of said MMO. It was a community perpetually filled with children, and eventually got too much to bear, so I quit. I don't plan on returning ever. If you know me from there, and were for some reason worried, there's your closure.
What?
Space Station 14 is a free online video game that ANYONE can edit! It's underlying code and engine are all freely available, which means spinning up your own variation is as easy as learning C# and figuring out how YAML works, the latter being quite easy! The community is also very welcoming, and are very much willing to teach newcomers.
This website is a early 2000s / late 90s inspired in-character personal page for the fictional Spongiform Websley, my character on Space Station 14. I'm sure you know a lot about her by now! If you don't, then I probably failed... or you just haven't read enough?
Why?
Simply put, I wanted to make a website! And not only that, I wanted to make a website with an interesting gimmick. So, I picked the one thing that I felt I was good at, playing a character. Spongiform Websley is a character that I've been playing since December of 2024, and she's since become a pretty prominent part of my presence on the internet.
That's why the site is the way it is. It's in character through and through, though sometimes certain elements need to explain things that someone 900 years from now wouldn't understand, which hopefully explains why sometimes she seems very unsure of what she's talking about.
How?
This website was created with Neocities and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. I just used a YouTube tutorial here and there, and this is what I came up with! Safe to say, you don't need to be the most tech savvy person to create your own website. It's fun, and I'd argue it's a lost art, except... There are plenty of webrings out there!
Of course, I do not plan on joining one, unless it's directly stated to be one for Space Station 13 or 14. This website's nature as an entirely in character page means that any other webrings would not be fitting. If you think you've found a good webring for this website, feel free to shoot me a message on the below REAL socials!

Closing Remarks
I don't know how exactly you found this website, but I'm glad you cared enough to try and find some kinda secret page. Fortunately for you, you did! I really do appreciate it, even if I'll never know that you did see this page. That is, unless you contact me...?
Haha, I'm kidding, partially. I do care, but in the end the most fun part of making this website is the making part. Sending a nice word or two my way wouldn't hurt, but if you want it answered by the starring character of this website, you may find the Guestbook more useful!
Thank you very much. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
